Will games have improved performance?

    Given the system will be running off of superior hardware, will games which were notorious for lagging (example: Super R-Type) no longer suffer from these issues? Or is this a limitation from the video game engine itself?

    This is of most interest to me when N64 emulators become legal.

    We’re trying to keep things as close to the original as possible but if there’s an opportunity in the future to improve performance of specific games via a game-start option, its something we can look into later.

    I would certainly appreciate such an option. Especially for the eventual N64 incarnation. I honestly don’t think there’s a single N64 game that couldn’t be vastly improved with a smoother frame rate.

    On the topic of enhancing original games, will polymega support visual filters many other emulators employ?
